Artist Statement

 

The interplay of color and design can create fascinating visuals. My goal is to capture shapes and patterns in such a unique fashion that the viewer is delighted and intrigued. I want to elicit a defined response from the viewer. I want my images to be positive. I want my images evoke a sense of mystery. When people ask me “What is that?” or “How did you do that?” I know I have succeeded.

 

Creative people evolve. In my early works, the Grace series, viewers often say the images remind them of stained glass. My later work is more free form and dynamic as I seek to add the sense of movement to each image.
